Who does this?!?! Who backs into an innocent yellow car at three in the afternoon on a Monday on a Fairfield side street and then just books it away? Hardly the worst wreck you’ll ever see, it’s still a bit more than a dent, the driver’s door doesn’t even open anymore. Is it because the car isn’t bright fucking yellow enough to be noticed and therefore avoided?

And while the extra insurance that saved the yellow car from this mishap is still in place, in that case the culprits were caught and their parents ponied up the deductible while in this case the malfeasant made a clean getaway. And being technically “collision or upset” and not mere “comprehensive” like the lawn dart incident, well it would have been much nicer to just throw away a thousand dollars on a(n extremely) fabulous bottle of wine or an extra week of vacation somewhere tropical, or just about anything aside from returning things changed from a random incident to the status quo.
