this isn't even the sharp lens, nor even a kit lens at a less-than extreme focal length, but yeah, it's sharp where it should be, and the bokeh where it isn't is so much less than bad. but really, you're seeing this because for the last two weeks i've been focused mostly on post-production, there is little fresh, and it's likely there will be little fresh that's not from working until the leaves start to fall wholesale.
