i utterly clipped the bottom of this shot. but it was taken from a moving vehicle. umm, that i was driving at the time. and it was only the 22nd a particular camera had ever taken, and i'd only 21'd before. and i was giddy, and it was so hot at 11 in the morning i had both the top down and the air conditioning on. really, it's naught but practice, aside from the bottom clip a quick four-corner suggests many opportunities for improvement, but it's proof of concept, and gives me great confidence for the ten days ahead.

sunscreen and earplugs, shorts and a tee and as much energy as i can muster, an old but wonderful canon pro camera bag from years ago cushioning two olympus cameras, one as familiar as my belly in the shower and another as fresh as finally kissing that girl or boy you'd only dreamed of these last three years. i've got a lanyard with media pass for about my neck, it's my time to shine.
