i'm not a huge star wars fan. i mean, i was many years ago for the first two movies, the third one with the singing teddy bears was a bit much, and the newer films, well, i switched off the first one about a half hour in back in 1999 and left the whole lot for dead.

and so it's weird i find myself returning again and again to what is perhaps the best written and most engaging blogs i've ever come across, the entirely fictional blog of the man in black, the darth side: memoirs of a monster. it's neither official nor sanctioned, technically i suppose it would qualify as fan fiction. but it's deep, entertaining and occasionally laugh out loud funny, and the author is ten times the writer george lucas ever was. even if you're not into the whole 'wars thing, which i still very much am not, give three or four entries a try.
