for the last day or so i've been messing about with a new way of processing images that's truly blowing my mind. no images out of it yet for the blog, that's in a day or two, and at that point i'm going to spill my incredible secret and make it into the best extramet homework assignment ever. i think you'll freak when you see what i'm talking about.

it's days off so i slept in forever today, a full nine hours later than i have for the last week. utterly gratuitous, utterly needed. so far my sole productive enterprise today has been loading the dishwasher and running it, it's currently chugging away on the sins of a week's worth of dishes. i adore my dishwasher, it's hardly one of those new silent ones, in fact it's over 20 years old, but it gets things clean. no matter what i've tossed into it over the years, what emerges is always spotless, and believe me, i've sent some pretty difficult challenges its way.

today's photos are contrasts on an urban staircase, they've been sitting in the queue for the better part of a month, but with few posts of late the queue is getting kinda large so i'm just blowing them all out today.
